We are pleased to announce that South Gap Hotel is nearing the final stages of our renovations, and we will begin welcoming guests who were previously booked to stay with us from December 1st, 2024. Additionally, we are now accepting new direct reservations for guests willing to stay with some temporary restrictions.
Restoration Update
The restoration works to our pool, deck and shoreline are still ongoing. While we are disappointed that these works are not fully completed in time for our reopening, we are thankful for the significant progress made. We are optimistic that these projects will be completed within the next two weeks, weather permitting.
To ensure everyone’s safety:
Access to the ground floor of the property remains restricted as we work diligently to complete the deck restoration. The pool is temporarily closed due to restoration work on the pool deck. Tropical Mist Bar & Restaurant will operate daily for takeaway orders only from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we finalize these essential upgrades.
Reflecting on Our Journey
As shared in our original notice, Hurricane Beryl brought unexpected challenges to South Gap Hotel. The extensive damage to our pool deck required us to close temporarily for repairs and improvements. Through this period, your unwavering support has motivated us to rebuild stronger and better.
We are grateful to now be in the final stretch and look forward to welcoming you back soon to enjoy the warmth and hospitality that South Gap Hotel is known for.
