A MESSAGE TO OUR VALUED GUESTS

During these unprecedented times, the safety and security of our incredible team members and our valued guests remain our highest priority. We are adopting all the published standard procedures and following the guidelines of local and international health authorities to reduce exposure to and transmission of COVID-19.

Our team is committed to ensuring that your stay with us will be comfortable and that you will continue to enjoy the exceptional service that you have come to know, love and expect during your stay with us.

Travel Flexibility 

We also want to assure you that we understand the need for flexibility in planning travel during this time and want our guests to feel confident when booking. 

Deposits will therefore now be refunded for reservations cancelled up to 2 days prior to arrival for guests reservations booked directly with our office. 

If you have made your reservation through a third party agent or booking site, please contact them directly for their Covid-19 policies. 

Covid-19 Protocols

For your health and safety please take note of the below Covid-19 health protocols:

  • Temperature checks (infrared thermometer) are required for all guests, visitors and team members upon entry to the property. 
  • All entrants to the property will be required to sanitize their hands at all times.
  • The wearing of face masks and social distancing will be required by all guests while outside of their rooms and for all team members while on property.
  • Team members are required to wear appropriate PPE including masks, face shields and gloves depending on the tasks being carried out. 
  • Room attendants are not permitted to clean occupied rooms while guests are in the room. So please feel free to let us know when you will be out of your room or place the “out and about” sign on your door. 
  • Frequently touched areas and surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected regularly.
  • If you feel unwell or are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, we kindly ask that you refrain from travelling during this time. 
  • During your stay with us, if you feel unwell or experience any COVID-19 symptoms, please refrain from leaving your room and contact front desk immediately.

Please note the above is subject to change at any time due to changes in Government regulations and we ask your kind understanding that additional or relaxed procedures may be discussed at the property.

South Gap Hotel is an Approved Holding Hotel 

South Gap Hotel is an approved holding hotel where guests can stay while they await the results of their second test.

Travellers from High and Medium-Risk Countries will be retested 2-3 days after arrival (4-5 days after your 1st test). However, travellers from High Risk countries are not allowed to leave the property until the second negative result is received. We will require that you quarantine in your room during this period while you await your results. After this period, you will have full access to the property and you will be free to explore our beautiful island!

You will be required to share your temperature with health officials so please travel with your own thermometer.

Housekeeping 

Housekeeping is not permitted to enter your room while you are on quarantine. However, you may request fresh linen when required.

Room Service is available daily for breakfast and lunch. Dinner may be pre-ordered. Please click here  to view our menus.

Testing Options for the 2nd Test 

  1. We can arrange for a doctor to come to the hotel to administer the test. The fee is currently US$150 per person and is subject to change without notice. At least 24 hours is required for the doctor to be arranged and appointments are subject to availability. 
  2. You may also choose to be tested through a private medical service provider for a fee. An approved taxi must be used to transport you the testing facility at a fee. Associated costs vary based on the service provider selected and costs of the designated taxi vary based on the location of the testing facility.
  3. There is also the option to be tested at a government facility at no charge. However, you will have the cover the cost of a designated taxi to drive you to the facility. 

Our friendly front desk team is happy to assist with any of the arrangements relating to testing or transportation. Please note that results take approximately 24-48 hours to be returned.
